Only once I got to hold you and touch your tiny hand. There are so many things happening That I just don't understand. Only yesterday inside me I felt your kicks with glee. Now I've only time for dreams Of what once might have been. I feel so lost without you So scared that your're not there. Why did you have to leave so soon? I'm in a state beyond repair. We would have loved you so much If only you could have known. Just how much you meant to us Sometime to spend alone. I'll cry and pray that some day I might take your hand. May be there will be a reason An answer that I'll understand. This poem was read at Dominic's funeral as it really did just sum everything up that we were feeling.
